It’s True, I Love AI (Within Reason)

It’s true. I love AI.
Not in a “Skynet take the wheel” kind of way,
But in a “Wow, this is a seriously cool tool that makes me think differently” kind of way.

I love feeding prompts into ChatGPT (yes, this very program) and asking questions for blog topics I might never have thought about writing on my own. Like this very article, actually. Sometimes I’ll wake up, coffee in hand, and type in something like,

“Hey ChatGPT, give me 10 blog topics that are trending right now for spiritually curious people aged 40 to 70.”
Then I sit back, sip, and smile.

Because when you’ve trained your AI to understand how you think, how you speak, and what you care about, it starts serving up ideas that feel less like a robot’s list and more like a creative partner whispering,

“Hey, have you ever thought about this?”

And I love that.

AI doesn’t replace my creativity, it expands it. It gives me jumping-off points. It offers angles I hadn’t considered. Sometimes it challenges me. Sometimes it downright delights me.

I use it as a research assistant, a brainstorm buddy, a muse in the machine. But (and here’s the “within reason” part) I always filter everything it gives me through my own values, voice, and vision. AI can suggest, but only I decide what’s true, what resonates, and what’s worth writing.

Want to See It in Action?
Here’s the exact prompt I typed into ChatGPT this morning as I was gearing up to write this article:

“Search out 10 topics that are trending right now in the age group of 40 to 70 years of age, men and women, that are spiritually curious.”

And here’s what came back:

🔥 10 Trending Topics for Spiritually Curious Folks Aged 40–70
Spiritual Minimalism – Letting go of clutter to find clarity and inner peace

Sacred Aging – Reframing aging as a spiritual initiation, not a decline
Modern Mysticism – How ancient wisdom is being reinterpreted for today
The Rise of Solo Retreats – Why more people are seeking solitude to reconnect
Embracing Death Positivity – Facing mortality with grace, courage, and curiosity
The Divine in the Ordinary – Finding God (or Spirit) in daily rituals and routines
The Sacred Masculine and Feminine – Exploring gender roles through a spiritual lens
Bio-Spiritual Practices – Blending movement, breathwork, and presence|
Digital Detox as Devotion – Disconnecting to reconnect
Legacy as a Spiritual Practice – Crafting your life story with meaning and intention

Pretty solid, right? These are the kinds of themes that hit the sweet spot for many of us walking the middle path between modern life and deeper meaning.

And maybe, just maybe, you see one of those topics and think,

“Huh. I never thought of it that way.”
Just like I do when ChatGPT throws something unexpected into the mix.

So yeah. I love AI. Within reason.
It’s not my guru. It’s not my God.
But it’s a pretty damn clever research assistant when I’m short on time and long on curiosity.

And hey,
If AI can help spark more meaningful, heartfelt conversations in this world, weird as that sounds, I’m here for it.

Are you?
